Yes. All features to share costs are free, with no limit on expenses and no ads. Currency conversion, charts and CSV export are free too.

Rata is a web app, with no app in the App Store or Google Play. Open app.rata.fyi in your phone browser and add it to the home screen. It then opens like an app.

Each person who joins a group signs in with a Gmail account. A person who does not use Rata can still be in a group as a name, for example a child in a family.

Yes. Export a group as a CSV file from Splitwise. In Rata, tap New group, then Import CSV, and pick the file. Rata keeps each expense and payment, and checks that the balances match.

Yes. Add your UPI ID once. When you settle up, Google Pay or another UPI app opens with the amount. After you pay, tap Yes, I paid. Rata does not touch the money.

No. Your phone encrypts each group before it syncs. The key is in the invite link, and our server never gets it.

Yes. You can add expenses and payments with no signal. Rata syncs when you are online again.

Yes. Each expense can use its own currency. Totals use the daily reference rates of the European Central Bank.

Sign in on the new phone and open the invite link of each group again. A person in the group can send you the link.

After your first sign-in, a welcome email and 5 short tips, one each 3 days. To stop them, tap Stop Rata emails in your account on Home, or the stop link in any email. This also deletes your address from our server.

To remove a group from your phone, use Remove from this device in the group settings. To delete your email address, tap Stop Rata emails in your account on Home. To delete a group from the server, write to hello@rata.fyi.
