Rata Help

My money

Your own spend, apart from your groups. It stays only on your phone.

Turn on My money

  1. On Home, tap My money.
  2. Tap Turn on My money. Rata makes a Personal space.

Add a company

Keep company spend apart from personal spend. Tap + Company, type the company name and tap Add company. Each space shows only its own spend and its own month total.

Add spend or a refund

  1. Pick the space at the top, then tap Add spend.
  2. Pick Spend or Refund, type the amount and the shop, and pick a category.
  3. Tap Save. A refund takes money off the month total.

Tap a line to change it or to delete it. You can also move it to another space.

Import a statement

  1. Pick the space, then tap Import.
  2. Pick the PDF or CSV of a card or bank statement. If the PDF is locked, type its password. Your bank's email tells you the password format.
  3. Rata shows the new lines, the credits, and the lines that are already in. Tap Add.
  4. Tap lines to check. Tap a line to change the shop name, the category or the space, or tap Accept all.

A card bill payment shows as Not spend, so it does not count in the month total. A credit for a return is a refund. Import the same statement again and Rata adds no lines twice. The file and the password stay on your phone. Rata does not keep them.

Get statements from Gmail

  1. Tap Import, then From Gmail.
  2. Google asks if Rata can read your email. Allow it. Your phone reads Gmail directly. No email goes to our server.
  3. Rata shows the statement emails with a PDF from the last year. Tap one, and type the PDF password if it asks.

The access ends when you close the tab or sign out. An email that you imported shows Imported. To remove the access, open your Google account, then Third-party apps and services.

Rename, remove or delete

Tap the gear at the top. You can rename the space, remove a company, or delete all My money from this phone. A delete cannot be undone.

Who can see it

Only you, on this phone. Rata does not send My money to our server, and your groups never see it. It is not on your other devices. If you clear the site data in the browser, it goes.
